Champion Hurdle Form Trends
The most significant race to consider other than the races already mentioned is the Champion Hurdle from the year before as a significant number of recent winners have gone on and consolidated further victories or improved from past placings.
Horses such as Istabraq, Hardy Eustace, Brave Inca and Punjabi all had form from the previous years Champion Hurdle and the other winners from the last ten runnings all had positive Festival form (Rooster Booster won County Hurdle, Katchit won Triumph Hurdle, Sublimity 4th Supreme Novices)
Champion Hurdle Form Tips
Festival form looks all important here so it might be worth taking a chance with a five year old in the shape of Zaynar.
Whilst only Katchit has won for that age group since Kribensis in the early nineties, he has shown that it is not impossible for a five year old to go on and win the Champion and the style of Zaynar's victory in the Triumph suggests he is a very good horse.
