No one race sticks out a key form race for the Champion Bumper but good form from either Leopardstown, Naas or previously at Cheltenham should be respected.

Champion Bumper Form Trends
All of the last ten winners had won a bumper with at least fourteen runners
This is a key trend as it showns that your selection can cope with a big field. This can be a hard race with lots of jostling for position and if your choice finds this sort of manoeuvering a shock then your chance of victory will be gone.
Eight of the last ten winners were trained in Ireland (and fourteen of all the seventeen winners of this race!)
Irish horses are just geared to run in bumpers almost without question whereas NHF races are an acquired taste. Consequently its not hard to see why the balance of power is 14-3 to Ireland since this race was introduced to the Festival. If you do fancy an English horse make sure your reasons are rock solid!
Champion Bumper Tips
The fact that Willie Mullins has trained six winners of this race tends to mean that some people become a little lazy when making their selections here and tend to focus on wherever the money goes on the Mullins runners.
This was a profitable tactic in the late nineties when Mullins had just one runner in the race and recorded three consecutive winners but he saddled EIGHT of the runners in 2009 leaving his supporters scratching their heads.
With eight other winners trained in Ireland NOT by Mullins better value could be found with the other Irish runners.
