We will have the top tips for you for the 2009 Festival nearer March 2009 when hopefully we will do as well as we did in 2008.Below are some of the each way tips we have came up with for 2008 and as you can see quite a few returned a handy profit!
Cheltenham Tips for Day 1 - Tuesday 11th March
Finally, it's here! Let's try and get off to a good start with some decent priced winners!2.00 Supreme Novices Hurdle
In the opening race Philip Hobbs and Richard Johnson have been raving all season about just how good Snap Tie actually is and he hasn't quite lived up to their high praise as yet. The feeling is that the combination of good ground and a really fast pace will see his true colours and he can get things off to a great each way start for us
Back Snap Tie each way for the 2008 Supreme Novices Hurdle at 14/1 with Sportingbet
4.00 William Hill Trophy
Another standout bet on Day 1 is
Back New Alco for the 2008 William Hill Trophy Handicap at 16/1 with PartyBets
Cheltenham Tips for Day 3 - Thursday 13th March
1.40 Jewson Novices Handicap Chase
Martin Brassil's ex-French gelding Ambobo could have got in here off a very lenient mark based on his classy hurdling form and it's interesting his outings over fences have been kept to a minimum. There will be a number of horses here who will be potentially well treated but Ambobo could have way too much class.
Back Ambobo for the 2008 Jewson Novices Handicap Chase at 10/1 with Blue Square
3.30 Ladbrokes World Hurdle
Doubts still surround the well being of short priced favourite Inglis Drever and the stats are against a horse of his age winning this race for the third time so it may pay dividends to back Blazing Bailey each way. He has ran at Cheltenham seven times in his career and only once not managed to make the frame and with the able assistance of Ruby Walsh looks a good bet to make the frame at the very least again today.
Back Blazing Bailey each way for the 2008 Ladbrokes World Hurdle at 15/2 with Paddy Power
5.50 Weatherbys Champion Bumper
Traditionally a race for the Irish raiders and it may be so again this year with a victory for Noel Meade's Corkskeagh Royale . An impressive winner on his last two starts he could surprise a few of his more fancied compatriots under the very able steering of Nina Carberry.
Highly thought of by Meade, this is a race the Irish Champion Trainer has been runner-up in twice before and this horse is very capable of going one better.
Back Corkskeagh Royale for the 2008 Weatherbys Champion Bumper at 12/1 with SkyBet
Cheltenham Tips for Day 4 - Friday 14th March
12.30 David Nicholson Mares Only Hurdle
Hopefully worth the wait will be Theatre Girl. Trained by Alan King, David Nicholson's ex-assistant Trainer this mare will be tuned to the moment for this race and has been crying out for the move up in trip. In a race where the level of competition is not likely to be as steep as in most of the races she looks one of the bets of the week.
Back Theatre Girl for the 2008 David Nicholson Mares Only Hurdle at 5/1 with Paddy Power
1.05 Ballymore Properties Novices Hurdle
The one to be on here could be Venalmar. He looks up against it on the weights with Trafford Lad but might be more suited to conditions than that horse and he looks a novice with a bright future.
Back Venalmar for the 2008 Ballymore Properties Novice Hurdle at 18/1 with Stan James
4.40 Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Challenge Cup
It's well known that Nicky Henderson goes all out to win the race named after his father so there could be a danger that his horses become badly priced due to the weight of money but, at the moment, the price available about My Petra still looks very fair. Still very unexposed and with a good run behind Noland last time out this young mare could have been let in lightly here by the handicapper so she warrants major consideration in this ultra competitive race.
Back My Petra for the 2008 Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Challenge Cup at 7/1 with Stan James
Cheltenham Tips - History Repeats Itself!
One of the best Cheltenham tips is to pay close attention to horses who have performed well at past Cheltenham festivals. History does repeat itself at Cheltenham with over 20 dual winners since 1995.From 1995 to 2005 there were 21 dual Festival winners with a further 28 winners having been placed at the meeting in a previous year and 27 winners had been placed at more than one festival!

Cheltenham Tips - Last Time Out Winners
It makes sense that if a horse is good enough to win one of the most competitive races on the national hunt calendar then they should have been able to win their latest race which wouldnt have been as strongly contested. This tip is especially helpful in the festival handicaps. A winner of a recent handicap also indicates that the handicapper may not have the horse properly rated. Many handicap winners go on to win again next time out.
Of the last 64 handicaps at the festival, 27 have been won by horses who were successful on their previous start. Thats over 42%! From around 20% of the runners so a great Cheltenham tip!
At last years festival 12 of the 24 winners had won their previous race. Now thats a Cheltenham tip you cant ignore!
Cheltenham Tips - Champion Horses Have Recent Form!
With the big championship races (The Gold Cup, World Hurdle, Champion Hurdle and Queen Mother) you can rule out horses which didnt finish in the first three on their latest start. 31 of the last 32 winners of these races all ran in the last three on their most recent run.Cheltenham Tips - Age of Championship Winners
Out of the last 32 Championship winners at the Cheltenham festival, 28 were aged between seven and nine. A great tip which will rule out a lot of runners.Gold Cup Tips
We have a summary of Gold Cup tips for 2009 to help you find the winner quickly. As the biggest race of the Cheltenham festival, the Gold Cup deserves its own tips page. Check out the Gold Cup tips.
