Coral Cup Analysis
As with a lot of the Cheltenham Handicaps this race is rarely won by a horse carrying more than 11st and six Irish winners in the last fifteen years it's becoming clear that having a well fancied Irish raider in your selections is essential if you want to show a profit on this race.Lightly raced horses tend to do well in the Coral Cup with most of the winners in the last decade only having less then ten runs over hurdles.
2010 Coral Cup Handicap Tips
This has proved a great race for the Cheltenham Betting Guide over the years and last year we tipped up Ninetieth Minute at an SP of 14/1!Alan King looks to have a strong hand in this race and we are having trouble deciding between his two main runners Sir Harry Ormesher and Lake Legend.
Whilst Lake Legend may have a tad more weight than ideal we like the fact that King has stated that this race has been the target all season and that he run since winning at Kempton in December as he didn't want his handicap mark to go up! That sounds like a tip in itself! The six-year-old gelding is by Midnight Legend and progeny from that sire tend to prefer good going so hopefully the ground won't be too soft at Cheltenham.
