Grade One Chase for Novices over 2 miles of the Old Course 14.35 Tuesday March 10 2009

The Arkle is a huge test for inexperienced horses who are required to jump well at speed. Errors will cause horses to struggle to keep in touch and those unable to maintain a high cruising speed will become too far attached. The fastest horse both over and between the fences will come out on top.

We are on the look out for a future star of sprint chasing. Recent Arkle winners Voy Per Ustedes, Moscow Flyer, Azertyuiop, Flagship Uberalles and Klairon Davis have all gone on to win the Queen Mother Champion Chase.
